"The chief weapon in the quiver of all Islamist expansionist movements, is the absolute necessity to keep victims largely unaware of the actual theology plotting their demise. To complete this deception, a large body of ‘moderates’ continue to spew such ridiculous claims as “Islam means Peace” thereby keeping non-Muslims from actually reading the Qur’an, the Sira, the Hadith, or actually looking into the past 1400 years of history. Islamists also deny or dismiss the concept of ‘abrogation’, which is the universal intra-Islamic method of replacing slightly more tolerable aspects of the religion in favor of more violent demands for Muslims to slay and subdue infidels"

Parramatta shooting shows Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull wrong about being sensitive with terrorism

Andrew Bolt
The Daily Telegraph
October 5 2015.

"Who dares speak frankly about any of this, when our new Prime Minister implies what’s really inflammatory is not Islam but Australia?"

LAST Friday morning, just before Curtis Cheng was murdered, Malcolm Turnbull revealed he would be more sensitive in tackling terrorism.

Gone would be “the blunt and often divisive language used by his predecessor Tony Abbott”, The Australian reported, clearly briefed by our new Prime Minister or his team.

Abbott’s rude talk had just “alienated many in the Islamic community”, and “Mr Turnbull will adopt a new, more inclusive tone”.
This was just what the media Left had claimed to want when it was looking for excuses to kick Abbott.

How those journalists had savaged Abbott for what they gleefully claimed was his politically motivated scaremongering about terrorism and his “inflammatory” and “divisive” language — language that actually seemed plain common sense.

How dare he alienate Muslims by asking them “to be part of ‘Team Australia’’.
How dare he suggest Muslim leaders did not condemn Islamist terrorism strongly enough, even saying that although Western leaders called Islam a religion of peace, “I wish more Muslim leaders would say that more often and mean it”?

And how crass to keep referring to the head-hacking Islamic State death cult as, er, a death cult?

See, phrases like “death cult” just upset Muslims, protested journalists and Labor.

And Turnbull whispered that, too, as he privately white-anted Abbott.

Sometimes Turnbull didn’t just whisper it, either. In July he shouted it in a speech, warning that unnamed people “over-estimate” the jihadist threat.

“It’s easy to sensationalise these scoundrels, these criminals, and we need … to be careful that we are not amplifying their own work, their significance,” he said loftily.

But he wasn’t talking about Abbott, he protested.
But he was, of course, which Friday’s news story now proves.

Well, let’s go back to that Friday. That afternoon, 15-year-old Farhad Khalil Mohammad Jabar went to his Parramatta mosque.

We’re not sure what he did there, or whom he saw. Nor do we know how this Iraqi Kurd from Iran got his hands on a gun.

But Farhad then walked to the Parramatta police station, slipped behind Curtis Cheng, who worked in the station’s finance department, and shot him in the head.

He repeatedly shouted “Allah” until he was in turn shot dead by police. NSW Police Commissioner Andrew Scipione said Farhad’s attack seemed politically motivated, and thus terrorism.

Little had Turnbull known how soon he’d get to demonstrate his new “inclusive” rhetoric. But on Saturday we heard it. Turnbull, reading from prepared notes, insisted “the Australian Muslim community will be especially appalled and shocked” by the act of terrorism.

“We must not vilify or blame the entire Muslim community with the actions of what is, in truth, a very, very small percentage of violent extremist individuals.”

And, true, most Muslims would hate what was done. They must not be vilified or treated as enemies. Yet Turnbull is still wrong. Very wrong.

First, he was wrong to have scapegoated Abbott, and imply Abbott was partly responsible for driving Muslim youths to extremism.

The threat from Islamist terrorism here is little different to the threat faced by almost every Western country, whether their leaders talk as sweetly as the French President or as tough as the Israeli Prime Minister.
In other words, the problem lies not in “us” or our politicians, but in Islam itself — in its sacred texts that preach intolerance and condone violence against unbelievers.

In fact, I doubt that 15-year-old Farhad even knew whether Turnbull or Abbott was now Prime Minister, or would have cared.

Second, Turnbull is wrong because the proportion of violent extremist individuals in our Muslim community is not “very, very small”. In fact, for the size of the community here — fewer than 500,000 — it is dangerously high.

"Small minority of Muslims" Yeah Right.

All 21 Australians jailed for terrorism in Australia are Muslim, even though we have almost as many Buddhists. More than 200 Australian Muslims have joined the Islamic State, and hundreds more have been stopped at the airport. More hundreds here support the jihadists, and still more condone them.

Those numbers suggest the third and fundamental reason Turnbull is wrong.

He is wrong to attack Abbott because that just encourages the almost pathological blame-shifting of so many Muslim leaders and representatives. So many just blame Australia and the West for the violent extremism that curiously comes almost exclusively from their community.

On the ABC’s Q&A we’ve heard from a dozen at least, claiming Muslims are the real victims and accusing our governments and police and anti-Muslim conspiracies.

Muslim academic Randa Abdel-Fattah, for instance, said: “I’m very cynical about the government’s use of these (anti-terrorist) raids to politicise the Muslim problem of terrorism.”

Muslim journalist Mona Eltahawy said: “None of you do absolutely anything to help us. You’ve always sold us out.”

NY Subway Vandal, Mona's finest Hour

And Muslim Legal Network solicitor Lydia Shelley added: “Please don’t use the Muslim people, don’t use the issue of radicalisation, to really sell these (anti-terrorism) laws, which is really about a sustained attack on civil liberties in this country.”

Stronger stuff is preached in the more radical mosques and meeting halls. Hizb ut Tahrir spokesman Wassim Doureihi, for one, was filmed shouting to followers: “Even if a thousand bombs went off in this country, all that it will prove is that the Muslims are angry, and they have every reason to be angry.”

Even the Grand Mufti, Dr Ibrahim Abu Mohammed, blamed Abbott’s support for Israel for causing young Muslims to sign up for the Islamic State, rather than blame Islam itself for inspiring such slaughter.

And this kind of moral evasion is what Turnbull has encouraged by scapegoating Abbott. He has taken the pressure off Muslim leaders to reform their faith.

He has taken the pressure off us to seriously debate whether Islam — as interpreted by many — actually fits into a multi-religious secular democracy.

And he’s made it harder to have the honest debate we need about whether to accept more Muslim refugees.

Consider:

Man Monis, an Iranian “refugee” and Islamist, staged the deadly Lindt cafe siege;

Numan Haider, an Afghan “refugee” and Islamic State recruit, stabbed two police in Melbourne;

Mohammad Ali Baryalei, an Afghan “refugee”, became a recruiter and fighter for the Islamic State;

Saney Edow Aweys, a Somalian “refugee”, plotted to attack the Holsworthy Army base.

So should we accept more Muslim refugees, or take in Christians instead? Would Christian refugees be less likely to hate us, and more likely to thrive?

But here again, Turnbull may have weakened the “divisive” Abbott policy.

Muslim leaders say the government’s Refugee Resettlement Advisory Council last week told them the 12,000 Syrian and Iraqi refugees we’re taking won’t be selected by religion, as Abbott hints, but by need.

True, Turnbull privately knows Christians are the most persecuted minority, so should still qualify first. But who now knows?

And which mainstream politician now dares say so?

Who dares speak frankly about any of this, when our new Prime Minister implies what’s really inflammatory is not Islam but Australia?

Pakistan court sentences British man to death for claiming to be prophet of Islam

ANW

January 25,2014

A court in Pakistan has sentenced a British man to death for blasphemy for claiming to be a prophet of Islam.

Mohammad Asghar, a British national of Pakistani origin, was arrested in 2010 in the garrison city of Rawalpindi, near Islamabad, for writing letters claiming to be a prophet, police said.

The special court inside Rawalpindi's Adiala Jail, where Asghar is being held, rejected defence claims that the 65-year-old has mental health problems.

"Asghar claimed to be a prophet even inside the court. He confessed it in front of the judge," Javed Gul, a government prosecutor said.

"Asghar used to write it even on his visiting card."

Blasphemy is an extremely sensitive issue in Pakistan, where 97 per cent of the population is Muslim, and insulting the Prophet Mohammed can carry the death penalty.

But the country has had a de facto moratorium on civilian hangings since 2008.

Only one person has been executed since then - a soldier convicted by court martial.

In 2006, the then-president Pervez Musharraf commuted the death sentence on a British man convicted of murder after appeals from former UK prime minister Tony Blair and Prince Charles.

Asghar also ordered to pay fine

Mr Gul says the court also ordered Asghar to pay a fine of $11,480.

A medical board examined Asghar after defence lawyers said he was suffering from some mental disorder, but Mr Gul said they "declared him as a normal person".

"Asghar was failed to produce even a single witness in his favour," Mr Gul said.

A police official in Sadiq Abad neighbourhood of Rawalpindi, where Asghar was arrested, confirmed the death sentence.

Pakistan's tough blasphemy laws have attracted criticism from rights groups, who say they are frequently abused to settle personal scores.

In 2012, Rimsha Masih, a young Christian girl, was arrested for alleged blasphemy in Islamabad.

The case provoked international concern because of her age, estimated at 14, and because she was variously described as "uneducated" or suffering from Down's syndrome.

The charges against here were eventually thrown out and last June she fled to Canada with her family.

Even unproven allegations of blasphemy can provoke a violent public response.

There have been several cases where mobs have attacked mentally ill people who have made supposedly blasphemous claims.

Green Loon says Geert Wilders not welcome in Australia

Controversial Dutch MP's visa bid stalls

Supporters of controversial anti-Islam campaigner Geert Wilders fear he may be refused entry to Australia ahead of his planned speaking tour next month.

The right-wing Dutch MP has applied for a visa to come and give speeches in Sydney and Melbourne, but the application has stalled.

In a climate of tension after the weekend's Muslim protest in Sydney, the issue presents a tricky dilemma for the Federal Government.

Mr Wilders has a reputation the world over as a fierce opponent of Islam.

He has compared the Koran to Hitler's Mein Kampf, called Islam an ideology not a religion, and called the Prophet Mohammed a paedophile among other insults.

"Mohammed was a warlord, he was a terrorist and maybe a terrorist worse than Bin Laden ever was at the time, look at what he did in his time in the past, in his Medina time - this is not the example to follow," he told Foreign Correspondent last year.

His speaking tour of Australia has been organised by an obscure anti-Islamic group called the Q Society, which takes a similar hard line.

Spokesman Andrew Horwood says the group are "ordinary Australians who are concerned about the march of Islam into this country".

"We are non-political, we are a secular organisation, and we've seen what's happened in Europe and we're concerned about that," he said.

"Our charter is to educate the Australian population about what Australia will be like in 20 or 30 years' time with Islam if we choose not to understand it."

Visa delayed
Mr Wilders applied for a visa three weeks ago.

His staff and security were approved within days, but he is still waiting and his sponsors want to know why.

"We find it very strange that a visa is taking so long to come from a politician of a respected democracy," Mr Horwood said.

He's coming here to give the advantage of his knowledge, the advantage of what's happening in Europe, and I cannot see why it's not an automatic thing: 'yes, you're welcome here.'

Q Society spokesman Andrew Horwood
"It should be an automatic thing. He's coming here to give the advantage of his knowledge, the advantage of what's happening in Europe, and I cannot see why it's not an automatic thing: 'yes, you're welcome here'.

"I cannot understand why everything has just ground to a halt."

The reason is that the Dutch politician is on the Movement Alert List, a database of people of concern to Australia.

It means his application is held up at the Department of Immigration headquarters in Canberra while more thorough checks are done.

He is on the list because of his previous brushes with authorities abroad.

In 2009 he was refused entry to the UK but later appealed and won.

He was also tried and acquitted in the Netherlands on hate charges over his controversial public comments.

It is not clear if he will be granted a visa.

Tricky call
Greens Senator Richard Di Natale says Mr Wilders is not welcome in Australia.

"We don't want to see Geert Wilders in this country. His views are not welcome here," he said.

"My dear brothers and sisters in Islam, as the world gathers against the believers in Syria ... seeking to hijack our sincere and blessed uprisings, children in Sydney would like to send their message of hope and support to the Muslims of (Syria), especially to the children and mothers," Ruqaya said in her speech.

"These uprisings have demonstrated that this umma (global Muslim community) is alive and well, her love is for jihad, she is unshackled herself from the fear which she held, and she yearns to once again live under the banner of (the Islamic state).

"Children as young as myself can be seen on the streets joining the uprisings, risking their lives to bring food, water and medicine to their wounded family members, some of them never returning to their mothers ... Nobody is too young," she said.

Sydney Muslim Insurgency Riots: Ahmed Elomar refused Bail again

"This country's got a great story when it comes to multiculturalism, it's part of my own personal story, it's something we should all be proud of and here we've got a man who is the antithesis of multiculturalism."
Greens Senator Richard Di Natale

The final tricky call could ultimately fall to Immigration Minister Chris Bowen.

Mr Bowen says no decision has been made and he has received no advice yet from the department.

Opponents of Mr Wilders do not want him here, but they fear rejecting the visa application is a bad idea.

"We don't think that he should come. The question of whether he should be granted a visa is a separate one," Senator Di Natale said.

We don't think that he should come, the question of whether he should be granted a visa is a separate one.

Greens Senator Richard di Natale
"I think that by denying Geert Wilders a visa, there is the potential to give his cause more oxygen.

"We don't want to do that."

After the weekend's Muslim protest in Sydney, the planned visit to Australia may well add to the tension.

The decision for the minister comes after he approved a visa for Taji Mustafa, the British head of Islamist group Hizb Ut-Tahrir.

Mr Mustafa, though, is not on the Movement Alert List.

"I inquired as to whether Mr Mustafa had any relevant criminal convictions, he did not," Mr Bowen told Parliament this week.

"I inquired as to whether he is a member of a proscribed organisation, he is not. I took all the relevant steps required methodically."

When the Wilders trip was first flagged a year ago, the MP mentioned the help of South Australian Liberal senator Cory Bernardi.

But Senator Bernardi has told 7.30 he has had no involvement in organising the visit.

Sydney:Hassan Nagi pleads Guilty to Rape of Three Women

Cabbie offered rape victims cash

By Margaret Scheikowski

February 12, 2009 02:07pm

A SYDNEY taxi driver who raped three female passengers in separate attacks offered one victim up to $50 after sexually assaulting her.

Two of Hassan Nagi's victims were heavily intoxicated, one having earlier vomited, and were on their way home when they were attacked, the NSW District Court has been told.

Nagi, 37, of Bexley, has pleaded guilty to the attacks on each of the women, aged 31, 23 and 27. His DNA linked him to the crimes in June 2003, December 2006 and June 2007.

Judge James Bennett is hearing sentencing submissions.

According to the statement of facts tendered by prosecutor Trevor Bailey, the first victim had been drinking and left a Kings Cross nightclub after feeling sick.

She vomited while outside then lost her memory until she woke up in the front seat of a taxi driven by Nagi.

He tried to grope her before stopping his cab in an unknown dark grassy area where he grabbed her and led her to a large orange crate.

Despite her saying no and saying she had to go, Nagi twice sexually assaulted her before saying: "I'll pay you $20''.

When she replied no, he increased it to $50.

"This is the last thing the victim can remember before she remembers walking back into the Le Panic Club in Kings Cross,'' the facts said.

The second victim also had been at a Kings Cross nightclub, where she became very intoxicated.

"About 3am, the victim contacted her boyfriend and stated that she was seated in the gutter and was planning on catching a taxi home,'' the facts said.

Her next memory was being in the taxi, falling in and out of consciousness, and then the driver getting in the back seat with her.

Nagi forced himself on top of the victim, who unsuccessfully struggled during the attacks.

Her next memory was ringing her boyfriend and telling him what had happened. She was then taken by ambulance to hospital for treatment.

The third victim had been at a football match when she received a phone call from a man who identified himself as her work associate, Mohammed.

They talked of possibly meeting up at Kogarah and she later had a second call when he said he was waiting outside the grounds in a taxi.

However, when she got into a taxi which flashed its headlights at her, she saw it was another man who said he was a friend of Mohammed's.

She asked him to pull over, but Nagi continued driving, speaking on his mobile saying: "She's f###g beautiful man''.

He drove her to an isolated industrial area, where he twice sexually assaulted her.

When she reported the attack to police, her mobile phone revealed the number that had been used to ring her was Nagi's.

He was arrested and DNA retrieved from his hair sample was found to match all three incidents.

Judge Bennett continued Nagi's bail and adjourned the matter to April 23 at Parramatta District Court.
